📣 đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ș Calling for tech-openness in the CRCF đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡ș 📣

📅 Tomorrow, European negotiators will be meeting for the next hashtag#Trilogue of the Carbon Removal Certification Framework (#CRCF) - potentially the most important piece of carbon dioxide removal (#CDR) legislation in the world right now.

💡 Only an approach open to all CDR technologies will enable Europe to achieve its #netzero target.

❗At present, there are positions held by numerous negotiators that would de facto exclude a large amount of promising CDR approaches.

🔊 For this reason, we need to make our voices heard - louder than ever.

đŸ’Ș An astounding 350 companies - including Carbonfuture, Deutscher Verband fĂŒr negative Emissionen e.V. (DVNE), and US Biochar Coalition (USBC)  - have signed a public letter calling for tech-openness in the CRCF, including the specific changes we need. The signatories span the entire CDR industry (and beyond), from startups to large multinationals.

đŸ€ Action now can have an outsized impact. Help us spread the word and make sure that negotiators are crystal clear on the position of the CDR industry.
