🇨🇦 Canada is quickly and quietly leading the way in carbon dioxide removal (hashtag#CDR) 🇨🇦

Did you know:

🏗️ Through its CCUS ITC, Canada has allocated $3.1 billion over the first five years (with a projected extension to around $7.6 billion up to 2030) to scale CDR by providing CAPEX support as part of its larger Carbon Management Strategy.

🏛️ In October last year, Canada announced public procurement of CDR for at least $10m by 2030 to help it achieve its climate targets.

📋 Earlier this week, Canada released its preliminary Draft Federal Offset Protocol for Direct Air Capture (hashtag#DAC) for its Greenhouse Gas (hashtag#GHG) Offset Credit System.

💼 According to CDRjobs, over 11% of job openings and 7% of all CDR companies are in Canada.
