šŸ›ļø How can governments scale carbon dioxide removal? šŸ›ļø

šŸ¤” I get asked this question all the time, so I decided to write a blog summarising what I know.

šŸ˜± The good news: there are plenty of pioneering governments already deploying policies to fund CDR and - spoiler alert - it is not just the U.S.Ā

šŸ’„ In todayā€™s blog ā€œGovernment as Catalyst: Strategic Financing Paths for Scaling Carbon Dioxide Removalā€ published on theĀ CarbonfutureĀ magazine, I present the seven main policy options available to governments, suggest a framework to compare them, and provide real-life examples from around the world of how these are being implemented.

šŸ”Ž The research into this blog spans at least six months. As you might know, I have done spotlight posts on each of these policy options in the past. Now Iā€™ve brought it all together for you.

šŸŽÆ The aim of this post is to provide some common knowledge and kickstart a conversation.

šŸ“ˆ Supportive government policy is how we get CDR to gigaton scale, I am convinced of that. Hopefully, this can serve as a useful input into making that happen.
