šŖ Just one year ago,Ā Oscar Schily,Ā Chris Sherwood, and I met up to discuss the need for national CDR advocacy in Germany. One year on, theĀ Deutscher Verband fĆ¼r negative Emissionen e.V. (DVNE)Ā is up and running, has more than 40 members, and is supporting the German government in scaling CDR to achieve net-zero by 2045.
š So join me in welcoming the A* DVNE team in Berlin:
Stefan Schlosser: Managing Director, who spent 10 years in the public sector, serving Angela Merkel and most recently Olaf Scholzās Chancellery.
Nicole Herold: Policy Manager, who is pursuing a PhD in law and is joining us from CDRMare.
Philipp Rupp: Communications Manager, a trained journalist joining us from the DENA, the German Energy Agency.
Sebastian Hanss-Mirodone: Member Advocate, who is currently doing his MSc in Sustainable Management and Technology.
ā In 2025, Germany will go back to the polls in what could be the most important election to date to ensure progress towards net-zero. We are planning to make CDR a priority across party lines, highlighting the potential to merge climate objectives with sustainable economic growth.
š Keen to know more or get involved? Follow theĀ Deutscher Verband fĆ¼r negative Emissionen e.V. (DVNE)Ā here on LinkedIn and sign-up to our newsletter on our website:Ā https://dvne.org/
š£ Also a big shout to my fellow Board members who worked very hard to get us to this point:Ā Stephanie Bischof,Ā Magnus Drewelies,Ā Carolin GĆ¼thenke,Ā Lisa MangertsederĀ andĀ Alexander Zeihe.
