šŸ˜± šŸ“£ The last 16 days have all been hotter than any day ever recorded in the history of humanity

This fact is alarming. It can lead to anxiety and paralysis, or, we can use it as a tool to mobilise and act!

Here are my key recommendations on what we can / should all individually do:

1ļøāƒ£ -> šŸ• Our time: are you working on climate yet? If not, consider a #careerchange. Climate is booming, with job opportunities for all profiles. If you cannot quit your job, consider #volunteering. Nothing is more precious and will have more impact than spending time working on climate.

2ļøāƒ£ -> šŸƒā€ā™€ļøOur behaviours: much has been written about this. To keep it simple, the two most important things you can do: fly less/not at all and reduce/avoid meat. Many more things to list, but these two contribute the lion share of our individual #footprint.

3ļøāƒ£ -> šŸ’µ Our capital: most banks invest your money in companies polluting the planet. Chose ā€œgreen banksā€ such as GLS Bank or Triodos Bank. Further, if you do invest, avoid stocks and indices that include fossil fuel companies. We need to drive #divestment, fast!

Bottom line: #takeaction. Urge others to take action. We are running out of time and - frankly - there are absolutely no excuses anymore for not doing the above.

ā—We will only make it if we collectively change the course of history, reduce emissions, and take care of all the mess we have already created in our atmosphere.ā—
