š Climate change is a global problem that requires global solutions. As such, we at CDRjobs were shocked to see the geographical concentration of the 664 jobs currently open across the carbon dioxide removal (hashtag#CDR) industry.
šŗš²š©šŖ More specifically, 51% come from just two countries: the United States (38%) and Germany (13%). Next up are Canada (11%), the United Kingdom (7%), and Switzerland (6%). Between them, these five countries account for 75% or 502 jobs.
š¤ Also interesting is that only 6% of jobs come from the Global South, and almost entirely in India (5%). This stands in clear contrast with job seekers: 577 people who already signed up to CDRjobs, 13% come from the Global South.
